Turtle Cove Beach Resort
The Turtle Cove Beach Resort is your own Gay and Lesbian piece of absolute beachfront paradise and is the perfect place to chill out and relax. Although if you can drag yourself away, the great barrier reef and rainforest are on the resort's dorostep. Both are Word Heritage Sites and really have to be seen to be be believed. The Turtle Cove Beach Resort is also the perfect place for your commitment ceremony, wedding or honeymoon and even offers the option of booking the resort for your own exclusive use!
Location
The Turtle Cove Beach Resort is an absolute beachfront oasis located on Australia's northern tropical coastline, neighboring the Great Barrier Reef.
To get to Turtle Cove you don't need a map and compass. You can drive yourself, or we can arrange for your transfers by coach, limousine, or even helicopter. We can have you collected from Cairns Domestic or International Airports, Cairns City, Northern Beaches or Port Douglas. The resort is located 45 minutes north of Cairns and 15 minutes south of Port Douglas. The scenic, coastal drive takes you along a beautiful coastal road with stunning views of beaches, the Coral Sea and Cape Tribulation to the north.
Rooms
The Turtle Cove Beach Resort has 30 rooms all of which feature a queen or king size and single bed, en suite bathroom, individual air conditioning, ceiling fans, television with in-house video, radio, hairdryer, ISD/STD direct dial telephone with modem point, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, cane and timber furnishings. All have private balconies.
The Beachfront Rooms are exactly that. Relax in your own private terrace overlooking the palm fringed beach.
The Ocean Terrace Building is set back higher on the resort property. The Ocean Terrace Upstairs and Deluxe Rooms enjoy views of the Coral Sea, while the Ocean Terrace Downstairs Rooms have tropical garden views.
Please note that Smoking in permiteed on balconies and decks adjoining guest rooms, but not inside rooms. In accordance with Queensland Health Regulations, smoking is not permitted in areas where food is served or consumed or where drinks are served. As such, please do not light up in the bar or restaurant seating area.
Facilities
A guest laundry is located on the ground floor of the Ocean Terrace building, adjacent to room 203. Machines and dryers operate with 3 x $1 coins. Washing powder is available from the office for $1.
Due to the resorts location, mobile and data wireless connectivity is poor and not reliable. Coin-operated internet terminals are located in the Recreation Room. $2 for 15 minutes. A data port is located in the rear of your room phone. All communications to and from Turtle Cove are via satellite, due to its secluded location. During episodes of overcast or extreme weather, connections may occasionally drop out.

Turtle Cove has one of the best beaches around and it’s all yours. The beach is clothing optional so get those buns brown … but don’t forget to slip, slop & slap. - Getting nude
You’re welcome to go in the buff on the beach, in the hot tub, on the lawn and on the far side of the pool. Please throw something on in all other public areas. - Pump it up!
A limited selection of free weights and fitness equipment is located in the Recreation Room. - The Recreation Room

Food
The Sands Bar and Restaurant is located right on the beachfront!
Breakfast (7am - 10.l30am):
A complementary tropical buffet breakfast including filtered coffee and a range of teas is served daily for house guests.
Lunch (12noon - 2.30pm):
The menu includes a range of refreshing, light meals or if you’re up for it something more substantial...Go for it, you’re on holidays!
Dinner (7pm - 8.30pm):
The restaurant offers tanta:=lising a la carte dining using the best of local produce on Mondays to Saturdays. Last orders are taken at 8.30pm. And just to keep you guessing, there are specials on most nights.
On most Sunday nights, the Turtle Cove offers a buffet barbecue and light a bonfire on the beach after dinner, conditions permitting.

Vegos and gluten-free meals are indicated on the menu however if you have any other special dietary requirements these can be catered for with sufficient notice. Please advise The Office.
Getting friendly with other guests
Feeling social? The Turtle Table is available for dinner every night. This communal dining table is free for all to join. You never know who you might meet!
The Sand Bar operates from 10am until late where you can enjoy a range of non-alcoholic, alcoholic drinks & cocktails. Depending on the buzz, last drinks are called at 11.45pm with the doors closing at 12 midnight. The bar may close earlier on evenings of low demand.
Pool Service is available and drinks are permitted in the SPA/JACUZZI but for your safety they must to be served in plastic.
Please note that in accordance with Liquor Licensing Regulations, any alcohol brought on site by overnight guests may only be consumed in guest rooms, and not within any other area of the premises.
